Being NICE Goes a Very Long Way

This a bit of a follow up to my previous post regarding the cost of knitting patterns. I received a personal email on Ravelry from a very NICE woman regarding my latest design ARIA. This is her message:

Hello, Love this pattern but my budget doesn’t allow for $12, is there any discount for a new release? Thanks, I truly appreciate it.

I really appreciated this message. And because she was so NICE about inquiring about a discount, I instantly created one for her on Ravelry. I gave her 20% off and she thanked me and purchased the pattern right away. I just thanked her for being so kind and told her that if she ever wants to knit another one of my designs, to please reach out to me again.

Being NICE goes a very long way.
